To save you time, we have created a comprehensive FAQ that addresses most of the common questions we receive.

Our professional staff will happily give you basic instruction on how to safely handle, load, and fire the firearm you are interested in shooting/purchasing. If you are interested in more in-depth instruction, ask about one of our training classes.

All firearms need to be unloaded, action open and magazine removed prior to entering the building and also leaving the range. Firearms may be brought in-hand; however, a gun case or bag is preferred.

Yes. We offer a wide variety of training classes from new beginners to advanced shooters. Give us a call or check out our training class schedule on our website to set up a time with one of our certified instructors. 

Yes, we buy used guns for cash as well as “trade-ins”. Your trade-in may be credited toward the purchase of a new or used firearm. We can also sell your firearm on a consignment basis.

Yes, we have rental handguns and long guns. If you use a rental firearm, you must use ammunition purchased at BTO Range & Training Center. Our staff is happy to help you select a firearm that works best for you.

Please call the store or visit us! If we don’t have it in-stock, we can most likely order it and have it shipped to our store. You can also check out our online store: www.bigtexordnance.com

Yes, although Black Powder firearms are not allowed at our facility. If in doubt about your specific gun/ammo combination, you may ask an employee before shooting.

Yes, but we do not allow steel core ammo. You must purchase our range ammunition to shoot in our rental guns.

Yes, you may bring your own paper or cardboard targets, however please be respectful in your choice of targets. We also carry a wide variety of paper targets.

Yes, we do. Please call or visit our store to fill out the transfer paperwork. We will need to know the firearm’s make, model, and item number, as well as the dealer’s information, so that we may contact them.

You must always present a valid government-issued photo ID and be at least 18 years of age to purchase rifle ammunition, and at least 21 years of age to purchase handgun ammunition.

We discount the range time for certified law enforcement officers and active duty military personnel.

Yes, as long as you meet the age and ID requirements.

At BTO Range & Training Center we have a variety of group packages available to accommodate your next event, whether it be a birthday party, bachelor/bachelorette party, team building event, fund raiser or just a fun night out! Please contact Jenn@shootersstation.com for more details.

As long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, children twelve years of age and older are welcome. This is subject to change on a case-by-case basis.

We do in-house cleaning and gunsmithing.

Armor-piercing, steel core, tracer, and incendiary ammunition is strictly prohibited. If in doubt about your specific gun/ammo combination, you may ask an employee before shooting.

Yes, we stock an extensive line of Cor-Bon, Speer Gold Dot, as well as Federal, Hornady, and Winchester among others in selected calibers/weights.

Yes, we can special order firearms for you through our vast supplier network. We also accept FFL transfers.

You are welcome to shoot your LEGALLY OWNED select-fire or full-auto guns here. If you are in doubt about shooting your particular gun here, give us a call.

Only law enforcement or security personnel in a training exercise, or competitors in a sanctioned event may draw from the holster on the firing range.

Yes, provided that you do so in a safe and controlled manner.

NO. The gun-handling that you typically see in movies is unrealistic and unsafe, and we do not allow it here.

Yes, but you may only photograph members of your party or our display firearms. Photographing other patrons, range personnel, or our facility’s security features is strictly prohibited.
