This course will highlight the many benefits when shooting with a Red Dot Sight/Miniature Red Dot Sight. Whether learning to shoot for sport, competition, self-defense, or skill development, students will leave this class with the knowledge and fundamental skills to help you learn how to efficiently and effectively use the RDS to its fullest potential.

Proper sighting procedure (aka zeroing)
Marksmanship fundamentals
Visual and Physiological Mechanics
Presentation from the holster and why it matters
Deep dive into developing a proper grip and why the small details are important

Downed optic emergency actions
Target Transition
Advantages and Limitations
Contact-distance and near-contact distance shooting challenges and methods of dealing with them
Dominant hand shooting instruction
Required Equipment
- Safe, functioning handgun with pistol mounted optic.
- Three (3) magazines for semi-auto pistol
- Strong side appendix, inside-the-waistband, or hip-mounted holster.
- Magazine Pouch(es)\
- Hat with brim
- Eye Protection: wrap around style recommended
- Hearing Protection
- Range, weather, and seasonal appropriate clothing. No flip-flops.
- 300 rounds of ammunition
