August 23rd / Citizen Defense – Red Dot Fundamentals, Principles & Performance / BTO Range, TX

Red Dot Fundamentals, Principles, and Performance is a deep dive into developing consistency, efficiency, and performance with a red dot handgun. This is achieved through the exploration of shooting principles using skill-isolation exercises that include both dry and live fire. Students will leave this class with an understanding of the performance potential of a red dot handgun, as well as a clearer sense of how to continue training on their own.
Class duration: one day- 8 hours.
- Fundamentals of stance, grip & trigger manipulation.
- Exploring key principles of shooting that lead to performance.
- Developing a consistent and efficient presentation of the dot.
- Achieving true target focus.
- How to properly zero your red dot.
- Foundation of a fast efficient draw.
- Transitions.
- Exploring the balance of speed & accuracy at distance.
- Blending isolated skills together through drills and challenges.
- Introduction to movement and isolation.
- The chance to achieve the Citizen Defense Standards patch.
This class requires 400 rounds ( Citizen Defense recommends www.2awarehouse.com for affordable bulk ammo). A quality hard sided holster that completely covers the trigger guard, AIWB or strongside IWB. NO SOFT SIDED OR BLACK HAWK SERPA HOLSTERS ALLOWED.
All participants must also pay the BTO Range $22 range fee
