Course Overview
Designed for new and intermediate shooters looking to step into USPSA and other hit factor-based competitions, this full-day training course focuses on the key skills, concepts, and mindset needed to excel in action pistol sports.
Whether you’re chasing better stage times or trying to understand why your match results aren’t matching your practice, this class will give you the tools to bridge that gap.
What You’ll Learn
This class is a blend of individual drills and full-stage shooting, giving you the chance to apply what you’ve learned in real-time. Topics include:
- ✅ Hit factor scoring: How it works and how to leverage it
- ✅ Penalties and point management: Making smart risk vs. reward decisions
- ✅ Shot calling: Recognize your hits and fix your misses
- ✅ Target confirmation levels: When to speed up and when to slow down
- ✅ Stage breakdowns: Entries, exits, and flow
- ✅ Stage planning: Build repeatable strategies under pressure
Required Gear
To get the most out of the class, you’ll need to bring:
- A reliable handgun (competition or carry-style)
- Sturdy belt, holster, and mag carriers
- At least 3–4 magazines (more is helpful)
- 700 rounds of range-safe ammunition
- Eye and ear protection
- Close-toed shoes
- Lunch, drinks, and snacks (you’ll need the fuel)
