August 8th – 9th / Sage Dynamics Low Light Employment / BTO Range, TX

August 8 - August 9
$500

Course Overview

Low-light environments introduce challenges that most shooters do not regularly train for, yet they are some of the most common conditions where defensive firearm use may occur. The Sage Dynamics Low Light Employment course is a two-day program focused on building practical, repeatable skills for safely and effectively operating both handgun and rifle platforms in reduced lighting.

This course is designed for motivated civilian shooters and responsibly armed individuals who already have a working knowledge of their firearm and want to expand their capabilities. Students will learn how to properly use white light for threat identification, communication, and control while reinforcing safe gun handling and sound decision-making.

Led by Sage Dynamics, this course emphasizes real-world application over theory. The curriculum is built around developing a strong foundation that students can continue to refine long after the class ends. If you are looking for firearms training in Texas that addresses realistic defensive scenarios, this course provides a structured and practical approach.

What You Will Learn

  • Real-world safety considerations in low-light environments
  • Equipment and ammunition selection for low-light use
  • Handheld and weapon-mounted light selection
  • Use of handheld light for deterrence and control
  • Handheld light coupling techniques
  • Shooting positions, including austere positions
  • Transitioning from handheld to weapon-mounted light
  • Pistol to rifle and rifle to pistol transitions
  • Shooting from cover and around cover
  • Reloads and malfunction management in low light
  • Target engagement in low-light conditions
  • Judgment-based shooting in reduced visibility

Who This Course Is For

  • Concealed carriers seeking to build capability in low-light conditions
  • Armed professionals looking to reinforce practical application of white light
  • Intermediate shooters who already understand safe firearm handling and marksmanship fundamentals
  • Students wanting to pressure-test and refine existing skills in more realistic conditions

This course is not intended for brand new shooters. While there are no formal prerequisites, students are expected to demonstrate safe gun handling and a basic level of proficiency with both handgun and rifle platforms.
