License to Carry (LTC) Course
At BTO Range and Training Center, we know life is busy and your time is valuable. That’s why we’ve designed our License to Carry (LTC) course to be clear, efficient, and easy to complete. In just one session, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence to legally carry in Texas while learning from experienced instructors who make the process straightforward.

What to Expect
Our LTC course focuses on the legal and regulatory aspects of carrying a handgun in Texas. You’ll cover:
- Texas laws and regulations regarding handgun carry
- Safe handling practices
- The shooting qualification course
The shooting qualification is designed to be approachable. It’s only 50 rounds and focuses primarily on safety. Most newer shooters pass with ease- no need to be nervous!
Note: The LTC course does not cover basic handgun operation. If you’re not yet confident with your shooting fundamentals, we recommend signing up for a Basic Handgun Course or booking a Private Lesson before attending LTC.

- Duration: 4 – 5 hours
- Class Size: Maximum 20 students
- Course of Fire: 50 rounds
- Required Gear: Handgun, ammunition, eye & ear protection*
- Arrival: Please arrive 10-15 minutes early
*Don’t worry- if you don’t have your own gear, everything you need is available to rent or purchase at BTO Range and Training Center.
